In our December newsletter, David’s Legacy Foundation (DLF) announced the expansion of legal aid services provided under The Don’t Bully Me (DBM) Project thanks to the generous support of the San Antonio Legal Services Association (SALSA) and three additional legal aid providers throughout the State. In early January, SALSA in partnership with DLF, held an initial training for our intake volunteers, and we are incredibly thankful for the paralegals and legal assistants that have stepped up to support families navigating these difficult circumstances by offering them access to resources, including legal assistance.
If you are a Texas attorney looking to volunteer your time in support of The DBM Project, the SALSA volunteer opportunity can be found here. DLF is honored that The DBM Project is included on the list of worthwhile program volunteer opportunities. SALSA has also launched an online Resource Page for The DBM Project that allows volunteer attorneys to access relevant statutes, templates, and other tools to empower them to seek relief on behalf of their client.
