David’s Legacy Foundation is excited to welcome Dr. Kirleen Neely to our Advisory Board. Kirleen has worked in the mental health field for over twenty years and has been the chief executive officer of Neely Counseling Center, PLLC, since 2001. Working with a wide variety of populations and diagnoses has given her a wide breadth of experience in the mental health field. In 2017, Kirleen joined the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School as a behavioral health consultant where she spear-headed an effort to combat the epidemic of physician suicide and implemented the medical school’s first physician counseling program.
Additionally, Kirleen is a co-author of the recently released book, Mental Health 101 for Teens, which shows teens how to cope with heightened stress and anxiety caused by COVID-19. Mental Health 101 gives teens important life skills like, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, coping skills, resiliency, and more.
We are happy to have Kirleen join the David’s Legacy Foundation family!
